Our Empowered Birth With A Spinning Babies® Addition Parent Class is designed to help you navigate pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. We will go in indepth into birth education so you have a full understanding of what your body and your baby will be doing on the big day and after. Everything from birth physiologically, how to handle challenges as they arise, and feeding. We want you to feel prepared, knowledgeable, and empowered for your birth experience. During this class, we will discuss:
Labor
Learn labor terminology used by your birth team and what it means
Discuss the stages of labor, what is happening, what to expect, and how to cope
Understand how labor is measured and why is this important
Know the signs labor is beginning and what is “normal” and what is worrisome
Practice birth positions that open the pelvis and understanding when to use each effectively by learning the Spinning Babies® techniques and why they are so important
Your partner will learn how to best help you during labor
Understand what to expect once the baby is born (from the placenta releasing to next steps)
Postpartum
Get a start on understanding feeding (breast or bottle)
What to expect once baby is born
